Training for Housing Counselors and First-Time Homebuyers

First-time homebuyers are potential buyers for older housing stock. Very often they are young couples with children or planning to have children. These families are the most at risk.moving into homes potentially rife with lead hazards, putting the health of their young children in jeopardy. Housing Counseling Agencies are in a unique position to provide essential lead safety information to these people.

The National Center has prepared an overhead presentation (using Power Point) that is available for housing counseling agencies to use directly with their clients. We can also make presentations to regional gatherings of housing counselors.
