Technical Assistance

Designing and administering a lead hazard control program is a complex task.  Many factors must be considered when formulating the best strategy for reducing lead hazards. The National Center for Healthy Housing, formerly the National Center for Lead-Safe Housing, has provided technical assistance on design and administration of these programs since 1992, when we began the evaluation of the HUD Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Grant Program. The Center offers support services to both new and existing lead hazard control programs to help assess the different options and issues involved in establishing their program.
