Updating and Evaluating Case Management Policies for Lead Poisoned Children
|
Case management is critical to ensure follow-up for lead-poisoned children that is focused on improving health status and assuring that a lead-poisoned child is no longer exposed to lead hazards. In 1998, The Center and The Alliance to End Childhood Lead Poisoning surveyed the case management and environmental investigation policies of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The resulting publication, Another Link in the Chain, provides a summary of the current state programs and discusses ways that programs can be more effective. An update, Another Link in the Chain Update, based on a survey in 2000, is also available online. The Center can provide assistance and counsel in the review, revision, and evaluation of current state and local case management policies.
